Disconnect

Painting in the studio can get pretty lonely at times. Unfortunately I don’t have a studio space that I share with others so when I am painting, I’m always by myself. But this does work out for me because I tend to delve into my own little world and disconnect with others around me while painting. My headphones are on, my music is blasting and I’m constantly moving around the canvas. Usually I don’t allow anyone to disturb me. If I had it my way, I’d be locked in a room and blasting music through the speakers without any neighbors complaining. For now, I sit on my living room floor, lay the canvas down on top of several drop cloths and pour the paint.
