Veronica Blanco is a Toronto-based visual artist concentrating in painting and drawing.

​

Veronica graduated from York University in 2014, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with honours in Visual Arts.

​

Following a four-year period of creative block, Veronica found her way back to the canvas, embracing a new abstract approach that centres on the everyday beauty she uncovers in nature.

​

Inspired by her hikes with her dog, Veronica incorporates elements from her natural surroundings, including fallen leaves, twigs, pinecones and other organic materials, into her creative process.

 

Rather than relying on conventional paintbrushes, Veronica takes a more tactile approach by using twigs and branches, establishing a direct connection between her art and the natural environment.
