My Inspiration

What’s your inspiration? If I had a penny for every time I’ve been asked I could self fund a 3 year artist residency in Paris! I find it interesting, perhaps because the work I make is so passionate, people question where it comes from.

Without going too naughty on here, I’m mainly inspired from personal moments, the people around me and films. Whichever embrace that interests me, I try my best to depict with paint.

Most people think it’s my boyfriend and I in my paintings, which isn’t true. The couples in my paintings are not directly us, but instead are a representation of all couples. It could be you and your lover or your friends or a couple on the street. I paint them without any facial characteristics in order to keep the Jane Doe and John Doe representation alive.
