Last weekend I exhibited my work at the Bold Expressions art show curated by Tanzina Amin and Carlos Rodrigues. There were over 80 artists and over 250 pieces of artwork! The room was filled with exceptional talent and people! Tanzina and Carlos did an amazing job curating the show and reaching thousands of people online and offline. The room was bursting with talent and people, there were even people waiting outside to get in line and asking what was happening inside the gallery. Both evenings were covered with a line up live performers including Todd Cooper, 14 year old singer Sanae Paris, the band Jonny Cobra, and an ethnic Bangladeshi dancer Mushtari. One of the artists Mike Bolwell who is also a chef and caterer, managed a snack bar and a professional cake specialist Caitlin (Cakelaine) had a dessert booth. The YouTube channel Artist Unknown was there both evenings premiering their ETA Awards video and screening some of their other work.

And of course there was a spectacular display of art from local Toronto artists! As Tanzina and Carlos explained, it was an amazing event “celebrating passion, talent, camaraderie, networking, nurturing old friendships and cultivating new ones.” I can’t wait to exhibit in their next event!
